WordPress has been winning the internet for 19 years (wow!) thanks to its flexible and familiar CMS, robust ecosystem and Open Source nature. But 19 years on the Internet is equivalent to about 150 human years, and things are evolving and changing in terms of how people build and deliver websites. WP has developed too, but there are some radical new approaches that are being examined in the framework of WP, like headless and decoupled site builds.
